Help with a twist for a masculinity based short-story?

I'm writing a short story for an assignment at school and the theme is masculinity. The main character of my story is a boy who always tries to be cool and fit the stereotype of a man even though he is quite shy. He gets invited to this party by one of his cooler class mates and he decides to bring his girl friend to the party who thinks he is actually homosexual. He tries to act cool and sort of impress the person who invited him by being really chauvinistic and treating his girlfriend badly. What twist could there be at the end? 10 points to the best answer
