40 weeks pregnant with no signs of labor at all...?

I'm due with my first, I had a prenatal today and my doctor said I'm not dialated but my cervix is soft. I have absolutely no signs of early labor or anything. Girls I know due around the same time as me have already given birth. Its actually really discouraging and I feel like i'm doing something wrong :(
