I need to wear gray pants to work, do sharkskin pants qualify?

I've been instructed to wear gray pants as part of my attire and I'm trying to figure out whether or not to go out and buy a pair of gray dickies pants or just wear the sharkskin I have in my closet. They're not solid gray.
