Best/proven ways that bring on labour?

I am 4O weeeks today so now considered full term, and I want my baby out!:( I can't bare to be pregnant any longer!? I haven't had any signs of labour! I don't even recall recognising BH contractions?! Has anyone else had this?! What has worked for all you girlies!! And at what stages did you have your Bubbas!? Help appreciated! Thankyou! + I will keep you all updated on my progress?!!!!:]xx
